O’Neill and Brennan are currently working with a large, well-established MEP specialist contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex packages on major schemes alongside Tier 1 main contractors. Due to a significant project win in South East London, they are seeking an experienced Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to take commercial lead on a flagship mixed-use development. This is a key role within the business, offering the opportunity to take ownership of a major MEP package while working closely with senior leadership and project teams on a high-profile scheme.
Role Overview
- Location: South East London
- Salary/Rate: £85,000 – £100,000 + package / up to £450 per day (Outside IR35)
- Start: ASAP (can accommodate notice periods)
- Type: Permanent or Freelance
Major mixed-use regeneration scheme delivering several hundred residential units across multiple buildings. Incorporates commercial/retail space, community facilities and an education building. Includes public realm works, landscaping and significant infrastructure elements.
Responsibilities
- Commercial lead on a £15m – £20m MEP package from procurement through to final account
- Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts
- Working closely with project delivery teams and Tier 1 main contractor interfaces
- Providing accurate cost reporting and forecasting to senior commercial management
- Ensuring commercial performance and risk management across the MEP scope
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor on large-scale construction projects
- Experience working with or alongside Tier 1 main contractors
- Ability to take full commercial ownership of packages and lead from a client-facing position
Based within a commutable distance of South East London. Travel expenses, discretionary bonus, private medical, pension contribution, and generous holiday entitlement are offered. Alternatively available on a freelance basis up to £450 per day (Outside IR35).
