Position: Site-Based Quantity Surveyor / Project Surveyor – On-Site Commercial Lead Project: £20 Million Listed Building Redevelopment Location: Bristol City Centre Contract Duration: Minimum 9 months (likely longer) Start Date: Immediate – subject to successful interview Day Rate: £350 – £400 per day (dependent on experience) Contract Type: Outside IR35 (Ltd company or CIS available) We are urgently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the project team as the on-site commercial lead on a high-profile £20 million Listed building redevelopment in the heart of Bristol. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will have full commercial responsibility on site, managing everything from subcontractor procurement and payments through to variations, risk registers, final accounts, and monthly reporting. Key Requirements: Proven track record as the lead QS on projects £10m+ (ideally £15m–£30m range) Significant experience on Listed/heritage building projects (essential) Strong site-based background – you must be confident running the commercial function autonomously on site Excellent working knowledge of JCT D&B contracts Immediate availability (or max 2 weeks’ notice) Ability to hit the ground running and mobilise quickly in Bristol This is a fantastic opportunity to take full commercial ownership of a landmark Bristol project with a highly regarded main contractor.
