We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer to join a specialist subcontractor delivering a major package of works on a flagship construction project South of Bristol. The successful candidate will oversee engineering operations associated with a substantial reinforced concrete and concrete pad package valued in excess of £100 million, while managing a team of approximately 10 engineers on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate engineering teams across multiple work fronts
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies
  • Ensure quality assurance and technical compliance throughout delivery
  • Support planning and programme management activities
  • Coordinate subcontractors and site teams effectively
  • Maintain accurate engineering records and reporting systems
  • Promote best practice in health, safety, and technical delivery

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong heavy construction, infrastructure, or civils engineering background
  • Demonstrable reinforced concrete experience is essential
  • Previous experience managing engineering teams on major projects
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a large project environment

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree / HNC / HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • CSCS Card
  • SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
  • Relevant engineering and setting out experience
