Temporary Handyman / Carpenter (CSCS Blue Required)
Location: HMP Channings Wood
Pay: Competitive (DOE)
We're currently looking for an experienced Carpenter to join a refurbishment project at HMP Channings Wood.
This is a hands-on role working on site refurbishments, carrying out a range of carpentry and general maintenance tasks within a secure environment.
Duties include:
General first and second fix carpentry
Hanging and adjusting doors
Fitting skirting, architraves and ironmongery
Installing timber fixtures and fittings
General handyman and snagging duties
Assisting with refurbishment works as required
Maintaining a safe and tidy working area
Requirements:
Previous carpentry and handyman experience
Blue CSCS Card Required
Own tools with Chop saw and M class extraction, an air fed mask as secondary RPE.
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
Ability to pass prison security clearance
DBS and ideally BPSS
