A leading specialist subcontractor is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor / Manager to support delivery of a major package of works on a flagship construction development South of Bristol. The package, forecast at over £100 million in value, includes extensive reinforced concrete and structural works within a wider large-scale main contracting scheme. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive H&S professional who thrives within major project environments and can help drive a strong safety-first culture across site operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety reviews
  • Ensure compliance with current HSE legislation and company procedures
  • Review RAMS and support operational planning activities
  • Carry out incident investigations and reporting where required
  • Deliver toolbox talks and promote behavioural safety initiatives
  • Liaise closely with site management, subcontractors, and client teams
  • Support continuous improvement across all health & safety functions

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience within major construction, civils, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of reinforced concrete and structural works environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work proactively and independently on large live schemes

Essential Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent
  • IOSH Membership minimum
  • CSCS Card
  • Relevant construction-related qualifications advantageous
