Our client is a respected specialist interiors contractor delivering high-quality construction solutions across a broad range of sectors. With extensive experience supporting major developments, they provide expertise in building envelope and interior construction packages (including SFS, drywall, ceilings etc), working closely with leading main contractors to achieve successful project outcomes. Their reputation is built on quality workmanship, reliability, technical knowledge and a commitment to delivering projects safely and efficiently.

Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of secured work, they are seeking experienced Site Managers to oversee projects across Devon and Somerset.

The Role

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing subcontractors and site labour
  • Coordinating programme delivery and site activities
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
  • Monitoring quality throughout all stages of construction
  • Liaising with clients, consultants and project stakeholders
  • Conducting site inspections, toolbox talks and progress meetings
  • Maintaining accurate site records and reporting project progress
  • Managing material deliveries and logistics on site

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction sector
  • Experience managing drylining, ceilings, plastering, SFS, facades or interior fit-out packages essential
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme targets
  • Excellent understanding of construction health and safety requirements
  • Full UK driving licence
