Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable tradesperson with a strong background in painting, decorating, basic carpentry, and general handyman duties to join a large residential project in Bideford. The role involves finishing works, snagging, and maintaining high standards of workmanship across a variety of tasks on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out painting, decorating, and finishing works to a high standard (interior & exterior).
- Undertake carpentry snagging, including door adjustments, skirting, architraves, and minor joinery.
- Perform general handyman tasks such as minor repairs, fittings, and maintenance.
- Complete snag lists provided by the site manager or client.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe, and compliant with health & safety regulations.
- Work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines.
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service at all times.
Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience as a painter/decorator, carpenter, or multi-trades handyman.
- Strong attention to detail and finishing quality.
- Knowledge of tools, materials, and safe working practices.
- Ability to work from snag lists and rectify defects efficiently.
- Good problem-solving skills and flexibility to take on varied tasks.
- CSCS card
- Own tools and transport
