O'Neill & Brennan are seeking a skilled NPORS Banksman to support safe vehicle and plant movements on a busy construction site in Bristol. This role is essential for maintaining site safety and ensuring all machinery and delivery vehicles move safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities (What a Banksman Does)
- Direct and coordinate the movement of vehicles, plant, and machinery on site
- Use correct hand signals and communication methods to guide drivers safely
- Monitor blind spots and ensure all reversing operations are carried out safely
- Keep pedestrian areas clear and maintain safe access routes
- Manage delivery vehicles entering and leaving site
- Communicate with machine operators, drivers, and site management to prevent collisions and hazards
- Ensure all site traffic follows health & safety rules and report any unsafe behaviour or incidents
Requirements
- Valid NPORS Traffic Marshal / Banksman certification
- CSCS card (preferred)
- Full PPE (hi-vis, boots, hard hat, gloves)
- Previous on-site experience as a Banksman or Traffic Marshal
- Confident communication and strong awareness of site safety
Location Bristol (BS1 & surrounding areas)
Hours & Start Monday to Friday | 07:30β17:00 Immediate start Potential for long-term work
