We are working with an established main contractor to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join a £10m commercial CAT A fit-out project in Bank, Central London. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, working closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors and wider project team to ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with strong commercial fit-out / CAT A experience to join a well-established contractor on a high-value Central London project.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to maintain programme progress
- Monitor quality and ensure works are delivered in line with drawings and specifications
- Maintain high standards of health and safety across the project
- Manage site logistics, deliveries, materials and plant
- Monitor progress against the programme and proactively address any issues
- Liaise with the Project Manager, consultants, subcontractors and client team
- Carry out regular inspections, snagging and quality checks through to completion
- Maintain accurate site records, documentation and reporting
- Support the wider project team in achieving successful project delivery
Experience
- Proven experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor
- Strong background in commercial CAT A fit-out
- Experience delivering projects valued at £5m+
- Previous experience working on projects in Central London is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, programming and site logistics
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
Qualifications
- Essential: SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid at Work
- Desirable: Relevant construction qualification, Temporary Works experience
