The Opportunity
We are currently working with a leading residential developer who are looking to appoint an experienced mechanically biased M&E Manager to join the project team on a major residential development in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced M&E professional with a strong mechanical background to take a leading role in the delivery of the building services package, working closely with the construction team, consultants, contractors and client representatives from design development through to completion and handover.
The successful candidate will have particular responsibility for driving the mechanical services package, whilst maintaining oversight of the wider M&E delivery and ensuring all services are properly coordinated, installed, commissioned and handed over to the required standards.
The Role
As a mechanically biased M&E Manager, you will take ownership of the mechanical services package and play a key role in coordinating the wider M&E works across the development.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing M&E contractors from pre-construction and tender stages through to Practical Completion and handover.
Taking the lead on the mechanical services package, ensuring works are delivered to programme, specification and the required quality standards.
Managing and monitoring M&E contractors and specialist subcontractors throughout the project.
Working closely with M&E consultants to ensure design requirements and project standards are fully implemented.
Leading and attending design, technical and M&E coordination meetings.
Monitoring mechanical design development and ensuring outstanding technical issues are identified and resolved.
Managing RFIs and technical queries in conjunction with consultants and the wider project team.
Reviewing RAMS, ITPs, specifications and commissioning documentation.
Monitoring the quality of mechanical installations and ensuring works are compliant with the approved design and specification.
Coordinating M&E activities with the wider construction programme.
Chairing M&E package and progress meetings and driving actions through to completion.
Liaising with statutory authorities and other external stakeholders where required.
