The client is delivering long-term, high-value water infrastructure schemes across the Hertfordshire area. We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee major heavy civils works, including deep drainage, large-diameter pipe installation, and tunnelling, supporting the delivery of capital investment projects critical to water resilience in the region.
The Role
As Site Manager, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient site delivery of complex civil works including 278 works, heavy civil base, ducting, pipe work, M&E, and more across 3 different projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily site operations, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards
- Conduct daily briefings, manage permit systems, and maintain full site SHE documentation
- Oversee temporary works coordination and lifting activities as per method statements
- Drive project quality from mobilisation to completion, targeting defect-free delivery
- Manage procurement and site logistics, plant allocation, and cost tracking
- Support the commercial team with progress reporting, certification, and early warnings
