O'Neil & Brennan have been requested by one of our clients to source a Senior Project Manager. Founded as a specialist consultancy within the built environment, this growing practice has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality project management, cost consultancy, and employer’s agent services across the residential sector. With an impressive pipeline of major developments and a client-focused approach, the business partners with leading developers, investors and housing providers to successfully deliver complex schemes from inception through to completion. Their portfolio spans Build-to-Rent, PBSA, Co-living, Affordable Housing and Private Sale developments, with typical project values ranging from £50m–£70m and larger flagship schemes exceeding £250m. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the team on a full-time basis in the City of London, with hybrid working flexibility available. This role will see you taking ownership of major residential projects across the full lifecycle from early planning and design stages through procurement, delivery, and final handover. You’ll work closely with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading projects from inception through to completion
- Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
- Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and overseeing project delivery
- Managing budgets, development cashflows, and project reporting
- Preparing and implementing project execution plans
- Monitoring project programmes and mitigating potential risks
- Reviewing technical and design submissions
- Supporting contract administration and Employer’s Agent duties
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience within project management/construction consultancy
- Strong residential sector experience, ideally across BTR, PBSA, Co-living, Affordable Housing, and Private Sale
- Proven track record delivering large-scale projects (£50m+)
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing projects, teams, and stakeholders
- Experience across all project stages including planning, procurement, delivery, and handover
- Proficient in planning and programming using Microsoft Project
- Experience managing development cashflows and reporting directly to clients
- Strong technical understanding with the ability to review design and technical submissions
- Knowledge of BSR gateway processes advantageous
- Previous line management experience beneficial but not essential
