Job Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Data & Development Solutions team. The team sit at the heart of Oneglobal’s operational and technological transformation, building and maintaining the internal tools, platforms, automation pipelines, and AI-powered systems that drive efficiency and competitive advantage across the business. As a Data & Development Associate, you will take ownership of day-to-day data operations and platform maintenance. You will work across a broad and varied technology stack, supporting everything from SQL data pipelines and Power Platform solutions to SharePoint environments and internal reporting infrastructure. This role suits a technically capable, self-motivated individual who is comfortable operating with initiative across multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven professional services environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Data Operations & Reporting
- Own and maintain daily data management tasks including SQL Server data pipelines, SharePoint sync processes, and internal reporting infrastructure.
- Monitor and triage data quality issues, working with colleagues to resolve discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
- Support the development and ongoing maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Manage scheduled data feeds, SQL stored procedures, and automated reporting tasks.
- Assist with the management and governance of internal databases and data warehouse environments.
- Platform & Application Support
- Provide support and maintenance across internal platforms.
- Manage updates, bug fixes, and minor enhancements to Power Apps solutions.
- Support the administration and content management of SharePoint sites and document libraries.
- Assist with Power Automate flow monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Automation & Development Support
- Support the build and maintenance of Python-based automation scripts and scheduled processes.
- Assist with the development and testing of Power Platform solutions including Power Automate flows and Power Apps canvases.
- Work with the Microsoft Graph API, SharePoint REST API, and SQL Server connectors as required.
- Assist with the integration of third-party APIs and services into internal workflows.
- Stakeholder & Project Support
- Act as a point of contact for internal queries and support requests via the OneAssist ticketing system.
- Assist with project scoping, documentation, and delivery across the team's portfolio of initiatives.
- Support marketing and communications teams with data, reporting, and asset production as needed.
- Contribute to team documentation, user guides, and knowledge base content.
- Participate in cross-functional projects involving Operations, Marketing, Compliance, and broking teams.
- Gather, document, and validate requirements from business stakeholders, translating needs into clear briefs for the team.
- Support the adoption and embedding of new tools and processes across the business, helping colleagues understand, engage with, and get the most from change.
Skills & Knowledge
Essential
- Demonstrable experience working with SQL Server or equivalent relational databases (querying, stored procedures, data management).
- Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform — specifically Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical, detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable liaising with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A solid understanding of data concepts and development practices — including what tools such as SQL, Python, and automation frameworks do and how they are applied, even if direct hands-on experience varies.
- Experience supporting or delivering change in a professional environment — whether through process improvement, technology adoption, project coordination, or stakeholder management.
Desirable
- Experience with Power BI and DAX for report development.
- Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, or scripting.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Graph API or SharePoint REST API.
- Exposure to AI tooling, large language model APIs (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI), or AI-powered automation workflows.
- Experience in the Lloyd's of London market, specialty insurance, or professional financial services.
- Knowledge of Azure services including Azure Static Web Apps, Azure Functions, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Exposure to SendGrid or similar transactional email platforms.
- HTML/CSS skills for light front-end work.
About the team
The Data & Development Solutions team is a two-person function led by the UK Technical Lead. The team is responsible for the full lifecycle of Oneglobal's internal technology and data capability — from strategy and architecture through to build, deployment, and ongoing support. The team's portfolio spans internal CRM and pipeline management, AI-powered document generation, intelligence briefing systems, country risk dashboards, and operational support tooling, alongside SQL data infrastructure, Power Platform solutions, SharePoint environments, and contributions to marketing, strategy, and client-facing deliverables. This Associate hire represents the first expansion of the team and will play an important role in enabling the function to scale its strategic output by taking on responsibility for day-to-day operational tasks.
