Job Purpose
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our growing Marine Client Services team. The team thrives in a fast‑paced, client‑facing, and dynamic environment, consistently focused on delivering outstanding client outcomes on a global scale. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of and shape Oneglobal’s growing international network of offices. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar technical support role and will be passionate about delivering proactive solutions to clients. You will provide value-added technical support to clients across Marine business and will be responsible for slip production, risk creation, premium processing and managing client and broker expectations. The role is based in our London office on a permanent basis and is an exciting opportunity to play a key role working collaboratively with our broking teams and network of global offices, enabling a great balance of personal career progression, involved in emerging market businesses and international client exposure. The role will be operating in an inclusive culture with a supportive environment to learn on the job and develop your skillset.
Key Accountabilities
- Provides global broker support to the relevant Marine broking teams, preparing renewal statistics/documentation ready for market placement.
- Trusted technical support providing timely creation and preparation of global market and client documentation, in particular slip production, wording and clauses knowledge.
- Support with drafting of client evidence of coverage to include, Debit/Credit Notes and all related documentation.
- Ensures internal paper & electronic systems, databases and workflows are maintained and updated and meet Contract Certainty and regulatory guidelines.
- Uses OGB’s Broking Systems to produce documents and accounting entries and ensure their accuracy.
- Submits Slips and LPAN’s to Bureau (XIS) for signing and will utilise London Market based portals to facilitate their role, including, but not limited to; XIS Insurance Portal and the IMR as well as Lineage.
- Assist with client liaison ensuring all global queries, data requests and resolution of queries are dealt with promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
- Develops business relationships with global markets, clients and colleagues to provide optimal service to clients.
- Ensure client service delivery is continuously reviewed to achieve optimal client satisfaction.
Skills & Knowledge
- Intermediate knowledge of the (re)insurance market in order to address client and technical issues.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Accurate and good attention to detail.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of global market dynamics and how this impacts on existing and potential clients.
- Work within agreed procedures and processes.
- Well organised and able to prioritise and multi-task, working well under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Sound technical experience, with particular focus on account management of Marine, Hull and Machinery.
- CII qualified or working towards CII qualification.
- Team player and willing to work flexibly and assist colleagues as required.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge is essential.
