Job Purpose
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our growing Marine Client Services team, primarily focusing on the cargo business. The team thrives in a fast‑paced, client‑facing, and dynamic environment, consistently focused on delivering outstanding client outcomes on a global scale. This role is based in our London office on a permanent basis and provides a key role working collaboratively with broking teams and a global network of offices, enabling personal career progression, exposure to emerging market businesses and international clients. Key Accountabilities
- Provide global broker support to Marine broking teams, preparing renewal statistics and documentation ready for market placement.
- Provide trusted technical support, creating and preparing global market and client documentation, including slip production, wording and clause knowledge.
- Support drafting of client evidence of coverage, including Debit/Credit Notes and related documentation.
- Maintain and update internal paper and electronic systems, databases, and workflows to meet Contract Certainty and regulatory guidelines.
- Use OGB’s Broking Systems to produce documents and accounting entries and ensure their accuracy.
- Submit slips and LPANs to Bureau (XIS) for signing and utilize London Market‐based portals, including XIS Insurance Portal, IMR, and Lineage.
- Assist with client liaison, ensuring all global queries, data requests, and resolution of queries are dealt with promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
- Develop business relationships with global markets, clients, and colleagues to provide optimal service.
- Continuously review client service delivery to achieve optimal client satisfaction.
Skills & Knowledge
- Intermediate knowledge of the (re)insurance market to address client and technical issues.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Accurate and good attention to detail.
- Understanding of global market dynamics and their impact on existing and potential clients.
- Ability to work within agreed procedures and processes.
- Well organized, able to prioritize and multitask, working well under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Sound technical experience, with particular focus on account management of cargo business.
- Currently CII qualified or working towards CII qualification.
- Team player willing to work flexibly and assist colleagues as required.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge is essential.
