We’re looking for a highly organised and commercially minded Business Manager to help power the success of our Distribution and Protection leadership team. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on creating clarity, driving momentum and making it easier for senior leaders to focus on what matters most.
Working closely with the Distribution Director and Protection Director, you’ll play a central role in shaping priorities, improving execution and ensuring leadership time, information and decision-making are used to maximum effect. If you enjoy operating at pace, connecting the dots across a business and using insight and technology to improve performance, this could be a great next step.
This is a high trust, high impact role supporting two Directors and helping drive the performance of the Protection and Distribution function. Blending senior PA capability with a senior business support mindset, the Business Manager will create time, clarity and momentum for leadership — while bringing genuine initiative and commercial awareness to the role.
The right person will be as comfortable managing complex diaries and inbox priorities as they are preparing briefing notes, tracking delivery against key initiatives, and identifying smarter ways of working. A genuine interest in AI and how it can create efficiencies — for the Directors and across the wider team — is something we are actively looking for.
What you’ll be doing
- Help enable leadership effectiveness and business performance across the function.
- Bring structure, pace and insight to strategic priorities while improving how the team operates day to day.
- Help optimise Director capacity so leadership focus stays on the highest-value priorities.
- Produce high-quality briefings, updates and materials that support informed and timely decision-making.
- Drive progress across key initiatives and discrete projects, maintaining momentum and surfacing risks early.
- Coordinate the functional operating rhythm to improve alignment, visibility and execution across Distribution and Protection.
- Create clear and consistent communications that bring priorities to life.
- Use insight, MI and reporting to improve tracking, prioritisation and business decision-making.
- Identify and implement smarter ways of working, including practical use of AI and automation to boost efficiency.
What we’re looking for
- A strong mix of organisation, judgement and delivery focus, alongside the confidence to work with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to travel to London 2 to 3 times per week.
- Experience supporting Director-level stakeholders in a business management, executive support or operational role.
- A strong track record of producing executive-level briefings, presentations and written communications.
- Confidence working with business performance data, MI and reporting tools.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and keep delivery on track across a varied portfolio of work.
- Practical experience using AI tools or automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Knowledge of financial services or a protection/distribution environment would be an advantage.
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a visible, high-impact role where you can influence how a key part of the business performs. If you’re proactive, collaborative and motivated by making things happen, we’d love to hear from you.
