We are seeking a Consumer PR & Communications Manager who lives and breathes their craft. This is a role for someone who is genuinely obsessed with PR - who reads the tabloids for fun, studies what makes a story stick, and wakes up at 3am with an idea for a stunt that would actually work. You will be our ideas machine, the person who walks into the room with five angles before anyone else has finished their first coffee. You are not here to shock for shock's sake or grab headlines at any cost. You are here to achieve mass reach in a clever way - using wit, timing, insight, and a deep understanding of what makes the British public stop and pay attention.

You will challenge us, push boundaries, and tell us when we are being boring. You will fight for the ideas that matter. You will also handle corporate comms, trade press, and internal communications across the OneDome Group. But make no mistake: your superpower is consumer. That is where you will live.

Consumer PR

You will be expected to generate a constant pipeline of campaign ideas, news hijacks, data stories, and PR stunts. Some will be small and nimble, some will be absurdly ambitious, all will be clever. Land stories in the tabloids (The Sun, Daily Mail, The Mirror), lifestyle press (Good Housekeeping, Stylist, Metro), and digital native outlets (Mumsnet, The Tab, Indy100). You know the difference between a press release and a story, and you never confuse the two. You are not afraid of a stunt — whether that's parking a giant purple house outside Parliament or staging a 'mortgage speed dating' event in Spitalfields. But you are strategic about it. Every stunt has a hook, a second life on social, and a clear path to reach. Turn our Founder into a relatable, quotable, trusted expert on home buying. Land them on popular podcasts, daytime TV, and consumer radio. Take a spreadsheet of boring mortgage data and turn it into a front-page splash. You know which numbers have teeth and how to frame them for maximum emotional impact without losing credibility.

Corporate & Trade PR

Maintain and nurture relationships with key property and mortgage trade titles to ensure OneDome remains visible within the industry. Keep our own team engaged and proud. Write all-hands updates, celebrate our consumer wins internally, and make sure everyone from engineering to sales understands the stories we are telling. When we raise a round, hire a senior exec, or hit a major milestone, you will draft the announcement and handle the business press.

Skill and experience

You read PR Week, listen to PR podcasts, and have opinions on the latest stunts from other brands. You are constantly learning, curious, and looking for the next angle. You generate concepts constantly. Not all of them will fly, and that's fine. You'd rather bring ten ideas and have nine shot down than simply carry out other people’s plans. You will push boundaries and suggest things that make us slightly uncomfortable. You know where the line is and how to get right up to it without crossing. You are not after cheap shock value or clickbait that damages the brand. You want mass reach achieved through wit, insight, and impeccable timing. You understand that a smart story outruns a loud story every time. You will tell us when we are being too cautious, too corporate, or too slow. You will fight for the ideas you believe in. You are not a 'yes person' and you don't just take briefs - you improve them. We are lean. You will be hands-on. You will write the press release, pitch the journalist, chase the follow-up, and then share the win internally.
