The Role
This is a hands-on role for a growth operator with an entrepreneurial edge. You will own the top of the funnel end-to-end: improving conversion on existing channels, launching and testing new funnels, and deploying new channels quickly. You’ll start as an individual contributor and build your team as traction justifies it. Expect high autonomy, a fast tempo, and clear commercial targets.
What You’ll Own
- Improving conversion on existing channels
- Run the end-to-end funnel audit: ad → landing page → lead form → mentor call booking → deposit → enrolment.
- Drive CAC down by 20-30% on core channels (Meta, TikTok, Google/YouTube).
- Ship high-velocity tests on messaging, creative angles, landing pages, and credibility drivers (social proof, outcomes, mentor profiles, accreditation).
- Partner with sales to tighten handoff and shorten the sales cycle.
- Testing new funnels
- Design and ship new ways to engage prospects: application-first funnels, assessment funnels, cohort/event funnels, long-form content funnels, community-led funnels.
- Run a disciplined experimentation cadence with clear hypotheses, ship dates, and kill criteria.
- Double down ruthlessly on what works; kill what doesn’t within one cycle.
- Launching new channels
- Stand up and test new channels from zero: partnerships, affiliates, creator/influencer, podcast sponsorships, newsletter buys, B2B2C partnerships with employers, referral programmes.
- Move from hypothesis to live spend in weeks, not quarters.
- Identify the 1–2 channels with genuine scale potential and build them into material contributors.
Success Metrics
Within 12 months we expect you to have:
- Reduced blended media CAC to target and held it there at higher spend.
- Materially lifted conversion at two or more stages of the existing funnel.
- Launched at least one new funnel that contributes meaningfully to enrolments.
- Scaled at least one new channel beyond Meta to a durable contribution.
- Built the plan, team, and systems to get us toward the next step up.
Who You Are
- 7+ years in growth, performance, or acquisition marketing at a venture-backed, consumer or consumer-like business.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: you’ve either founded something, been early at a startup, or run a P&L you treated like your own. You think in hypotheses, bets, and unit economics, not decks.
- Strong numerical fluency. Comfortable with CAC, LTV, payback, channel attribution, and funnel maths without needing a deck to explain them.
- A portfolio of funnels and channels you have personally shipped — not managed agencies to ship.
- Creative judgement. You can brief, critique, and often write ad copy and landing page copy that converts.
- High agency, high velocity. You default to shipping, measuring, and iterating.
- Hungry to build, not just optimise. You want scope to invent, not just tune an existing machine.
Nice to Have
- Experience in high-ticket consumer, edtech or categories with a considered purchase and a longer sales cycle.
- Experience building or scaling affiliate and partnership channels.
- Founder experience, even if the company didn’t work out.
