Shift – 12-hour shifts. Days, nights and weekends (Full-time and Part-time)
Full Training Provided
We are recruiting for a team of experienced and enthusiastic complex care Nurses required to work with a gentleman who has MND and is ventilated. Our client requires daily tracheostomy care in Derriford hospital and then discharging home to Paignton. Ideally you will have complex care experience and be able to deliver person centred care within a hospital initially and then within the client’s own home.
Our client has a strong family unit, who you will also get to know and support. You will be required to learn the gentleman’s care needs in hospital with support from the hospital ventilation team and the Nurse Manager for Onecall24 Healthcare, where full training and support will be given before our client is discharged home.
Within this role you will be responsible for delivering and overseeing key health and support provision throughout the entire week, across both days and/or night shifts. Duties may also include supporting with administering medication, moving and handling, personal care and healthcare tasks related specifically to the person-centred needs of our client, to ensure that our client remains completely safe and comfortable in their own home environment.
You will be fully supported at all times by our qualified Nurse Managers, that oversee all Onecall24 Healthcare packages of care. You will form a key part of the Onecall24 Healthcare complex care team within this role, becoming part of a team that truly believes in quality and person-centred care.
You will receive full training in all specialist and person-centred elements of care delivery and 24-hour support. Due to the nature and potential location of this work, access to your own transport is essential.
