We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to work for our partner primary schools that are seeking new staff for the next academic year.
A Learning Support Assistant will work closely with students who require additional support due to learning difficulties, disabilities, or other special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
·Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet individual learning needs.
·Assist teaching staff in planning and delivering differentiated lessons, ensuring that all students can actively participate and engage in learning activities.
·Support students with completing tasks and assignments, providing encouragement, guidance, and feedback as needed.
·Help to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and social interaction among students.
·Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans for students.
·Assist with the assessment and monitoring of student progress, recording and reporting on achievements and areas for development.
·Contribute to the overall pastoral care and well-being of students, providing emotional support and encouragement when needed.
Requirements:
·Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent.
·Previous experience working with students with special educational needs or disabilities is highly desirable.
·Knowledge of different learning difficulties and disabilities, as well as strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
·Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
·Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their goals.
·Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently, with a proactive and flexible approach to tasks.
·A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
