Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Carer to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to service users in their homes.
This position requires a commitment to supporting individuals with their daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well‑being.
Responsibilities
- Administer medication safely and accurately in accordance with care plans and medication policies.
- Supervise, support, and mentor care staff, ensuring high standards of person‑centred care are maintained.
- Monitor and record residents' physical and emotional wellbeing, reporting any changes promptly to the nurse or management team.
- Assist with moving and handling residents safely, following manual handling procedures and risk assessments.
- Provide high‑quality personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and promoting dignity and independence.
- Support residents with nutrition and hydration by serving meals, assisting with feeding where required, and monitoring dietary needs.
- Maintain accurate care records, including daily notes, medication administration records (MAR), and incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues to ensure continuity of care.
- Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable environment, adhering to infection prevention and health and safety policies.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, safeguarding concerns, and changes in residents' conditions.
- Lead by example, providing compassionate, respectful, and person‑centred care while ensuring residents' dignity, privacy, and wellbeing are always maintained.
Qualifications
- 6 months experience in the last 2 years.
- Must be a driver with a car.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Medication certificate.
