We are seeking compassionate and experienced Healthcare Assistants to support a young client within his home environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide person‑centered care and support to a young individual requiring close monitoring, clinical support, and assistance with daily living activities.

Location: Shropshire, Shrewsbury

Pay Rates: £13 to £15 per hour

Shift Pattern: Days and nights

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support with all activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, medication administration, nutritional monitoring, mobility support, and clinical interventions.
  • Assist with mobilising and using stairs, ensuring close supervision and reassurance when required.
  • Work independently within a family home environment, recognising clinical concerns and remaining calm, professional, and supportive at all times.
  • Carry out clinical tasks such as gastrostomy medication and fluid administration, medication management, seizure management and monitoring, and application of AFOs (Ankle Foot Orthoses).
  • Monitor and manage a restricted protein diet.
  • Recognise and escalate any clinical concerns appropriately.
  • Manage care professionally, calmly, and compassionately.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of providing above‑and‑beyond care to achieve meaningful social outcomes for clients.
  • Experience in gastrostomy medication and fluid administration.
  • Experience in medication management.
  • Experience in seizure management and monitoring.
  • Experience supporting personal care and ADLs.
  • Experience with restricted protein diets.
  • Experience with AFOs.
  • Experience working independently in a client’s home environment.
  • Experience recognising and escalating clinical concerns.
  • All candidates must be drivers.
