Overview
One Call Consultants are looking for a production operative to join our manufacturing client based in Walsall Wood, Walsall.
The Company is currently looking to recruit a Production Operative to work in their ATS/Transport Department.
The successful candidate will support the ATS section with build demand by carrying out support tasks to help maintain a consistent supply of secondary items.
Responsibilities
- Chassis plate preparation including drilling, tapping and assembly to drawing/specification.
- Assembly of cover plates to drawing/specification
- Complete assembly of ATS Mercia units to drawing/specification
- Cutting, stripping of cable using machinery and hand tools when required.
- Cutting and crimping wire links.
Requirements
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings
- Competent using hand tools including drills, taps and drivers etc
- Competent using machinery including presses, bandsaws and linishers.
- Able to cut, strip and crimp cable using hand tools and machinery
- A keen eye for detail and high standard of work quality
- Able to work under own initiative, identify and prioritise own workload to support the section
- The ideal candidate must have excellent time keeping and have a can do attitude
