One Call Consultants are looking for a Plumber / Multi Trader to join our Facilities / Maintenance client based in Birmingham.
Location: Mobile/Field-based (covering multiple sites)
Industry: Facilities Management, Property Services, Retail/Commercial
Salary Range: Approx. £38k- 40k+ per annum (DOE) + OT
Key Responsibilities:
- Reactive Plumbing: Attend emergency call-outs, diagnosing and repairing leaks, burst pipes, blocked drains, faulty taps, urinals, WC flushers, and toilet seats.
- Commercial Maintenance (PPM): Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on water systems, pumps, valves, and sanitary ware in accordance with site schedules.
- Multi-Trade Tasks: Carry out minor building fabric repairs, including basic carpentry (fixing locks, door closures, boxing in), patch tiling, patch plastering, and painting/decorating.
- Installations: Perform small-scale installations, such as replacing TMV valves, radiators, or hot/cold water pipework.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with Water Regulations, Health & Safety standards, and Company Procedures, completing risk assessments (RAMS) upon arrival at site.
- Administration: Use CAFM systems or mobile PDAs to receive jobs, update work status, and record materials used.
- Customer Service: Maintain a professional demeanor, communicate effectively with clients/tenants, and ensure high-quality service.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent).
- Experience: Proven experience in commercial plumbing maintenance and reactive repairs (minimum 2-3 years).
- Multi-Trade Skill: Ability to work across at least one other trade (e.g., carpentry, tiling).
- Licence: Full UK Driving License.
Working Conditions & Benefits:
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri).
- Benefits: Company van, fuel card, tool allowance, PPE, pension scheme, and 28 days holiday once direct with our client.
