One Call Consultants are looking for up to 7 Paint shop / factory operatives to join our large automotive client based in Aston, Birmingham B6. The Plant is a Nordson automatic powder coating plant with a fast moving track and a dip process pre treatment. They have 7 vacancies across 2 shifts with immediate starts for the right candidates. They powder coat steel and aluminium and a prior knowledge of a similar system and powder coating is a distinct advantage.
The hours stated are generic at the moment and may be tweaked slightly as we fill the roles; that said it's likely to only move by about 30 mins. As far as powder coating plants are concerned this is no different so the candidates will be working in a warm environment and it can be dirty at times. The company will move successful candidates around and develop their skills over time. For the right people, this will be an ongoing temp to perm job.
The rate for all of the roles is £14.30 to £15.80 ph depending on experience plus £41 shift allowance if on the afternoon shift.

- Days: 6.00 to 14:30 Monday to Thursday, 6.00 to 11:00 Friday
- 1 x General Factory Operative: Unloading of the fast moving paint track, visual check of paint quality to acceptance standards. Recording output data and quality data.
- 1 x Jig Worker: Loading of small parts onto paint jigs for spraying – small detailed light work nimble fingered. Once parts are painted they will be responsible for unloading and placing in appropriate storage containers.
- 1 x Labourer: General keeping plant clean and tidy, moving work around factory, cleaning of plant, trollies and areas, cover if and where needed.
Afternoons: 14:00 to 22:30 Monday to Thursday, 11.00 to 16:00 Friday – Shift allowance £41 per week.
- 1 x Pre Treatment Operator: Loading of large basket with aluminium frames paying attention to separation of paint and quality – Using an overhead crane to lift and dip the baskets in a series of large bath washes to set times and sequences.
- 1 x Track Unloader: Unloading of the fast moving paint track, visual check of paint quality to acceptance standards. Recording output data and quality data.
- 1 x Jig Worker: Loading of small parts onto paint jigs for spraying – small detailed light work nimble fingered. Once parts are painted they will be responsible for unloading and placing in appropriate storage containers.
- 1 x Labourer: General keeping plant clean and tidy, moving work around factory, cleaning of plant, trollies and areas, cover if and where needed.
