One Call Consultants are looking for an electrician to join our large client who provide a wide range of facility management services to a wide portfolio of customers with over 20 years’ experience. They provide both reactive and planned maintenance contracts tailored to individual business needs, and operate across the UK.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled 18th Edition Qualified Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance electrical work, EV charger installations, basic circuit design, fault finding and testing. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician to work on a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with the latest wiring regulations while delivering high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct electrical maintenance, repairs, and fault finding in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Install, test, and commission EV charging points, ensuring compliance with current regulations and industry standards.
  • Design and modify electrical circuits, considering load calculations, energy efficiency, and safety requirements.
  • Carry out electrical testing, inspections, and certification in line with BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
  • Ensure all work adheres to health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Provide excellent customer service, liaising with clients to understand their needs and offer professional advice.
  • Maintain accurate records, including electrical installation certificates and maintenance logs.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, regulations, and new technologies.
  • Supervision of Apprentice Electrician.
  • Maintaining electrical association memberships with annual inspections.

Requirements:

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification (Essential).
  • Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (NVQ or equivalent).
  • City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection & Testing.
  • Experience in electrical maintenance, repairs, and fault finding.
  • Proven experience in EV charger installations (OZEV accreditation is a plus but not essential).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical circuit design, load calculations, and installations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving license (Essential).
  • Be flexible with working hours as some weekend and out of town working will be required.
  • IPAF Licence desirable but training can be provided.
  • References will be required for successful candidate.
