About Our Opportunity
As Onebright’s Lead Data Engineer / Data Architect it will be your responsibility to structure key elements of our data architecture by delivering critical pipelines, enforcing architectural standards and enabling junior staff through hands-on mentoring. Your role will focus on delivering a specific line in dbt, defining and embedding governance frameworks, and architecting the foundational model pathway – ensuring long-term maintainability, scalability and quality of the warehouse during a critical staff transition.
What We Need From You
- Proven track record delivering Snowflake + SQL data architectures
- Hands-on experience with dbt or equivalent modelling tools
- Deep understanding of data warehousing design, SCD logic, and testing standards
- Experience implementing CI/CD for data pipelines (BitBucket, GitHub, etc.)
- Strong documentation and mentoring capabilities – able to uplift junior staff
- Demonstrated ability to lead refactoring or transformation of legacy pipelines and models
- Comfortable working in high-urgency environments with limited existing structure
