Job Description
We are looking to engage an Architect/ Interior designer for a residential project. This opportunity is for Architect/ Interior designer with 2-10 years professional experience working on multiple unit residential schemes.
Role: Architect/ Interior designer
Duration: 2-3 months
Work location: Tadworth, Surrey (within M25).
Work timings: Hybrid possible
Key skills: • AutoCAD • SketchUp • Photoshop • Revit • Design and Visualisation tools
The position available would suit applicants with strong design and technical ability, as well as an interest in refurbishment projects. The successful candidate should have: Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, as these skills are essential for the role. A proactive attitude and a passion for design, with the ability to work both independently. Interest in sustainable design practices, aiming to make a positive impact through architectural solutions. Demonstrated expertise in design and presentation, capable of bringing creative ideas to fruition.
You will be working on a main residential projects from start to completion including all interior architectural research, concept designs and interior architectural presentations, alongside the home owner. You will work on your day-to-day tasks independently.
You will be carrying out the following core tasks:
• creating mood boards and concept designs
• researching and creating presentation for all interior architectural fixtures and finishes
• CAD for RCP, GA’s, elevations and room plans
• SketchUp drawings for joinery designs as well as full rooms including panelling, windows and full interior architectural detailing – this is a key skill
• presenting to clients, overseen by the senior designer and design director and/or founder
• working from site to oversee refurbishment and construction progress
• Research, presentations and bespoke designs
Skills and Attributes:
• Prepare thorough planning documents, detailed designs, and technical specifications• RIBA 3 qualified with 2-5 years previous office experience.
• excellent design portfolio
• an ability to think creatively
• a strong interest in concept design to construction detail
• ideally have experience in and a passion for working on residential projects
• be proficient in AutoCAD • SketchUp • Photoshop together with knowledge of working in 3D
• excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills, Photoshop, Illustrator
• excellent 3D modelling skills – physical and digital (Sketchup / Revit)
• thorough and conscientious, with a sensitivity for detail and presentation
• possess good communication and organisational skills
• fluent in both written and spoken English
• excellent time management skills, and an ability to manage conflicting or multiple deadlines
• be able to work independently
• Skilled in selecting and specifying high-quality materials, products, and finishes.
