Join OneAdvanced as the Vice President of Finance. This role is UK Hybrid and reports to the CFO.

OneAdvanced is one of the UK’s largest privately owned software businesses, delivering mission-critical SaaS solutions across multiple vertical markets with deep customer embeddedness, high recurring revenues and strong profitability. Today, the Group generates:

  • £260m ARR
  • 90%+ recurring revenue
  • 40%+ EBITDA margins
  • 23% organic bookings growth

Alongside this sits a growing IT Services platform with an additional £30m+ recurring revenue base. Backed by Vista Equity Partners and BC Partners since 2019, OneAdvanced is operating against a clear value creation agenda focused on scalable growth, operational excellence and long-term enterprise value creation ahead of a future liquidity event.

The business has already completed a major phase of platform consolidation and product alignment. The next phase is different. We are now scaling toward becoming a £1bn+ enterprise platform. At this stage, value creation is no longer constrained by strategy alone. It is driven by execution quality, capital allocation discipline, organisational alignment and the speed and quality of decision-making. Finance therefore plays a fundamentally different role, not as a reporting function, but as one of the core leadership engines of the company.

We are hiring a Group VP Finance to help architect how OneAdvanced operates at scale; shaping commercial decisions, performance architecture, investment prioritisation and enterprise value creation across the Group. This is a high-impact executive leadership role with significant exposure to the Board, investors and Executive Committee, intentionally designed as a pathway toward future CFO responsibility within a scaled PE-backed software business.

The Opportunity: This role sits at the centre of how OneAdvanced is run. You will partner directly with the CFO, CEO and Executive Committee to build the operating and financial discipline required to scale a large, complex software platform with predictability, control and ambition. You will lead the evolution of Finance from a functional support capability into an embedded strategic partner across Product, Technology, Commercial and Services.

You will help the organisation move:

  • from reporting outcomes to managing drivers
  • from instinct-led decisions to economically coherent execution
  • from fragmented performance visibility to a unified operating framework

Success in this role will materially influence the pace, quality and value of the company’s scaling journey.

The Role: You will:

  • Partner closely with the CFO in supporting the CEO, Board and Executive Committee
  • Architect and lead the Group’s operating performance framework
  • Elevate Finance Business Partnering into a world-class strategic capability
  • Improve forecasting credibility, planning accuracy and operational accountability
  • Drive economically rigorous decision-making across the organisation
  • Shape investment prioritisation, resource allocation and value creation
  • Build the financial architecture required for scalable growth
  • Help define the future operating model of a large-scale SaaS platform

This role is not about maintaining finance processes. It is about helping lead the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Operating Rhythm & Performance Management
  • Own the annual plan, long-range plan and rolling forecasting process
  • Establish a disciplined monthly and quarterly operating cadence
  • Create forward visibility of risks, opportunities and trade-offs
  • Build driver-based performance management across the organisation
  • Embed a coherent financial decision-making framework across all functions
  • Improve organisational predictability, accountability and execution discipline
Commercial Finance & Strategic Business Partnering

You will lead the Finance Business Partnering organisation across Product, Technology, Commercial and Services. This includes:

  • Building a high-performance, commercially respected FBP function
  • Embedding Finance deeply within operational leadership teams
  • Raising the quality of insight, challenge and decision support
  • Creating consistency in metrics, frameworks and economic thinking
  • Developing leadership capability across the broader finance organisation
  • Delivering high-quality reporting and analysis for executive and investor stakeholders

Success means functional leaders view Finance as an essential strategic counterpart in shaping both direction and execution.

SaaS Economics, Growth Efficiency & Value Creation
  • Define and embed the key performance architecture of a scaled SaaS platform
  • Drive deeper organisational understanding of retention, expansion, margin and growth efficiency dynamics
  • Build increasingly predictive forecasting capabilities using leading indicators
  • Improve confidence in financial outlooks internally and externally
  • Ensure leadership teams actively manage performance drivers, not simply review outcomes
  • Support disciplined capital allocation and strategic investment decisions
  • Partner on M&A evaluation, integration and value realisation
Commercial & Product Decision Support
  • Partner Product and Commercial leaders on pricing, packaging and monetisation strategy
  • Influence prioritisation decisions through economic return frameworks
  • Support roadmap, GTM and segment strategy decisions with robust financial insight
  • Align customer behaviour, product strategy and financial outcomes
  • Challenge assumptions constructively to improve organisational decision quality
Data, Insight & Decision Infrastructure
  • Improve how operational and financial performance data is surfaced and consumed
  • Enhance business insight and analytics capabilities across Finance
  • Simplify and automate reporting environments to improve speed and clarity
  • Enable leaders to self-serve operational performance understanding where appropriate
Leadership Expectations

As a senior leader within OneAdvanced, you will be expected to:

  • Operate as a peer to executive functional leaders
  • Raise the overall decision quality of the organisation
  • Build institutional capability rather than functional dependency
  • Simplify complexity for executives, investors and operators
  • Lead with intellectual honesty, commercial pragmatism and pace
  • Challenge constructively while maintaining organisational alignment
  • Build high-performing teams and future leadership capability
What Success Looks Like (12–18 Months)
  • The business operates against a clear, embedded performance cadence
  • Forecasts are trusted by leadership, Board and investors
  • Commercial decisions consistently reference economic impact
  • Pricing, retention and growth efficiency improve measurably
  • Finance Business Partnering is viewed as strategic and value-creating
  • The organisation demonstrates greater predictability and operational discipline
  • OneAdvanced is increasingly recognised as a scalable, high-quality software platform
  • You are viewed as a credible future CFO successor within the organisation
Candidate Profile

You will likely bring:

  • Senior commercial finance leadership experience within a scaled SaaS or technology environment (£150m+ revenue)
  • Experience operating in private equity-backed businesses, ideally through significant scale or exit events
  • A track record of influencing Product, Commercial and operational leadership teams
  • Experience supporting pricing strategy, investment cases, transformation or M&A activity
  • Strong exposure to Board and investor environments
  • Experience building and leading high-performing finance organisations
Capabilities
  • Deep understanding of SaaS economics, recurring revenue models and growth efficiency
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear commercial decisions
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with operational execution capability
  • High levels of intellectual curiosity, judgement and structured problem-solving
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence at senior levels
  • The ability to balance rigour, pace and pragmatism in a scaling environment
Why This Role Matters

OneAdvanced has significant market opportunity, strong platform foundations and clear investor backing. The challenge now is scaling with consistency, discipline and precision. This role exists to ensure growth translates into durable enterprise value through better decisions, stronger operating discipline and financially intelligent execution embedded across the company.

For the right individual, this is an opportunity to:

  • Operate at the centre of a large-scale software platform
  • Work directly with experienced PE investors and Board stakeholders
  • Influence enterprise-wide strategy and execution
  • Build meaningful organisational impact
  • Develop toward future CFO leadership within a highly scaled environment
