This role partners closely with senior leaders and technical teams within R&D to understand capability needs, shape development priorities, and deliver effective learning solutions that support the organisation’s product and technology roadmap. You will act as the dedicated L&D partner for R&D, bringing structure, consistency, and expertise to how learning is identified, sourced, and embedded. This is a consultative role focused on needs analysis, solution design, and stakeholder partnership rather than hands-on training delivery. What You Will Do
- Partner with R&D leaders to understand business priorities and identify capability and skills gaps
- Conduct learning needs analysis and support capability planning across R&D teams

- Act as a trusted advisor to R&D stakeholders, helping them make informed decisions about development investment
- Monitor engagement and effectiveness of learning initiatives, using insight and feedback to continuously improve outcomes
- Build strong working relationships across L&D, HR, and technical teams to ensure learning is aligned and well embedded
What You Will Have
- Experience in a technology, SaaS, or product led environment as an L&D Business Partner or in a similar consultative learning role
- Experience working with technical, specialist, or product led teams (e.g. R&D, Engineering, IT, Product)
- Ability to diagnose learning needs and design practical, business aligned solutions
- Confidence influencing without direct authority
- Familiarity with sourcing digital learning and working with external learning providers
- An interest in emerging technology, AI and digital capability
