Responsibilities
- Work as part of the Equestrian team to provide the highest level of care and presentation of the horses and unprecedented service levels to clients.
- Be an integral part of creating an Equestrian establishment with the best reputation in the hotel and equine industries with loyal clients who book regularly.
- Feed, hay, muck out, turn out, groom, clip, bandage, and keep the stable, horses, and all equipment looking immaculate at all times.
- Exercise horses daily to prepare them for guests to ride, keeping them fit and well schooled for safe riding.
Guest Interaction
- Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner.
- Fit guests with safety equipment before riding, keeping safety equipment clean and organised in lockers at all times.
- Provide detailed knowledge of the area, promote hotel services, and endeavour to make the guest’s stay as memorable as possible.
- Teach guests of the hotel and local clients on ponies and horses with knowledge, enthusiasm, and care for safety at all times.
Learning & Development
- Undertake an apprenticeship with a local learning provider to obtain an equestrian-related qualification, in line with the apprenticeship levy guidelines.
Health & Safety
- Comply with all statutory and company health and safety, fire, bomb, and security regulations.
- Ensure job-required certificates are kept up to date.
Flexibility
- Along with main duties, you may be asked to complete other tasks and duties as necessary and reasonably required.
- You may occasionally be required to adjust your hours of work to cover business needs.
