We’re seeking an Underwriter to develop and maintain sales representative, agent, and broker relationships. The Access One80 team intakes submissions from every state from over 21,000 retail agencies via a class leading portal. This position will help our distribution partners place Excess and Surplus policies for a wide variety of classes. A digital MGA, Access One80 focuses on commercial and personal lines on an E&S basis. We access leading carriers in the US and UK to offer online rating and quoting for dozens of lines of business. We offer in house binding authority and wholesale brokerage services across all lines of coverage.

Your Impact:

  • Ensures all submissions are effectively managed to reach decline or quoting status within a defined service level agreement.
  • Necessary interaction with carriers and producers to gather needed information in an organized manner.
  • Determines the pricing, coverages and exclusions for each submission.
  • Responsible for reviewing and responding to back-end underwriting reviews and new business audits.
  • Documents underwriting decisions within standards and expectations.
  • Provides reports necessary to perform underwriting analysis.
  • Follows up on open quotes.
  • Policy Servicing.

Successful Candidates Will Have:

  • 3-5 years of commercial insurance underwriting experience required.
  • 1-2 years of wholesale distribution experience strongly preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to appropriately apply loss development and advanced loss analysis concepts to achieve optimal pricing of a risk and creatively utilize coverage features, deductibles, or reinsurance on individual risks to achieve company objectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Outlook and Excel required.

At One80 Intermediaries, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings, paid time off and paid holidays for eligible employees. The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $51,800 - $60,000 plus bonus. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
