Our client, a market leader in their field, is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their expanding group of companies. AAT/CIMA or ACCA study support are offered alongside career progression and personal development. This is an exciting time to join the business!
You will work closely with the Accounts Manager in supporting the day to day operations of the finance department. Key responsibilities will include:
- Reconciliation of multiple bank statements.
- Maintaining and reconciling purchase and sales ledgers.
- Weekly payment runs and remittances.
- Month end inter-company reconciliations.
- Calculation of VAT liabilities and VAT returns.
- Financial reporting for senior management.
You should have previous experience in all aspects of ledger work, a working knowledge of VAT returns and foreign currency would be beneficial. You will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment across multiple entities and be IT literate.
