We’re delighted to be recruiting an experienced Finance Manager for an established international manufacturing business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded, fully qualified accountant who wants more than simply producing the monthly numbers. You’ll take real ownership of the Finance function, working closely with senior leadership and operational teams to provide the insight, challenge and financial direction that helps drive the business forward. It’s broad. It’s hands-on. And it’s a role where Finance genuinely has a voice.

What will you be doing?

  • Taking ownership of the day-to-day Finance function and monthly management reporting
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning
  • Becoming a key Finance partner to the manufacturing operation
  • Analysing product costs, margins, manufacturing variances and profitability
  • Driving improvements across cash flow, working capital and inventory
  • Supporting commercial decisions, pricing, investment and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Managing statutory reporting, VAT, tax and audit requirements
  • Working across international transactions, foreign currency and intercompany reporting
  • Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, controls, processes and financial performance

The role has particularly strong exposure to manufacturing costing and operational finance, working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Supply Chain.

What are we looking for?

You’ll need to be a fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent accountant, with strong senior-level Finance experience gained within a manufacturing environment. Automotive manufacturing or automotive supply-chain experience would be particularly attractive, as would experience of SAP or a similar manufacturing ERP system.

Just as importantly, we’re looking for someone who can operate with confidence and autonomy — someone comfortable challenging assumptions, talking Finance with non-finance people and turning financial information into practical commercial decisions. And there’s hybrid working with flexible hours too.

If you’re an experienced manufacturing Finance professional looking for a role where you can genuinely own, influence and improve, we’d love to hear from you.
