Are you passionate about improving outcomes for babies, parents and families during pregnancy and the first 1001 days?

One YMCA is seeking an experienced and motivated Quality & Practice Lead for Perinatal to drive excellence in perinatal, infant development and parent-infant relationship practice across our Family Support Services.

This is a unique opportunity to influence practice at a strategic and operational level, supporting practitioners and managers through coaching, quality assurance, reflective practice and workforce development. Working across Hertfordshire's Best Start Family Hubs, you will help ensure families receive high-quality, evidence-informed support when it matters most.

About the Role

• Lead quality assurance activities including observations, audits and practice reviews
• Drive service improvement through data, insight and evidence-based practice.
• Coach, mentor and support practitioners, Leads and Managers to strengthen perinatal and infant-focused practice.
• Deliver workforce development and training on areas such as attachment, parent-infant relationships, infant development and perinatal mental health.
• Facilitate reflective practice and learning opportunities that promote continuous improvement.
• Strengthen family voice and co-production approaches, ensuring services are shaped by the experiences of parents and babies.
• Work collaboratively with partners including Maternity Services, Health Visiting, Infant Mental Health Services and Early Years providers.
• Support delivery of Hertfordshire's Best Start in Life priorities and Family Hubs programme.

About You

We are looking for someone who can inspire others and champion high-quality practice without direct line management responsibility.

• Significant experience in family support, early years, health, education, social care or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of infant development, attachment, bonding and parent-infant relationships.
• Experience of coaching, mentoring and developing practitioners.
• Excellent skills in quality assurance, observations, audits and service improvement.
• Knowledge of perinatal mental health, early intervention and evidence-based approaches.
• Experience using data and outcomes to drive practice improvement.
• The ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams and partner organisations.
• A relevant professional qualification and safeguarding knowledge.
