Are you driven to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults with complex needs? Do you have experience supporting individuals facing multiple challenges such as homelessness, mental health issues, or substance misuse?

We’re looking for a compassionate and resilient Complex Needs Support Worker to join our Intensive Supported Accommodation Service. This is a dynamic and rewarding role where you’ll provide high-impact, person-centered support to residents with more entrenched needs, helping them stabilise and work towards greater independence.

In this role, you will:
• Deliver 6-8 hours of tailored support per resident each week (caseloads of 10 residents)
• Build trusting relationships to identify strengths, set goals, and promote recovery
• Support residents in managing daily living, maintaining their accommodation, and accessing specialist services
• Work closely with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate holistic support
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service

We’re looking for someone who:
• Has experience supporting vulnerable adults in settings such as supported housing, homelessness services, or similar environments
• Brings empathy, patience, and a trauma-informed approach to their work
• Is proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a collaborative team setting
• Can work flexibly across a 7-day rota, with early shifts from 8am–4pm and late shifts from 1pm–9pm. Weekend working is required approximately one in every four weekends

Working Pattern: The role operates on a varied shift pattern, with coverage required across all 7 days of the week

One YMCA and its subsidiaries, the Early Childhood Partnership (ECP) and Signpost are on an exciting journey to double our impact by 2025. • Family support through a network of children’s and family centres covering Hertfordshire and Bedford
• Therapeutic and non-therapeutic support for male and female victims of domestic abuse and their children
• Independent sexual violence services across Bedfordshire, Luton and Hertfordshire
• Domestic abuse perpetrator reform programmes across Bedfordshire
• Youth services offering emotional wellbeing support and youth club opportunities for 11-19 year olds alongside our National Airplay programme funded by the RAF Benevolent Fund
