The primary focus of the role is to provide high quality cleaning services within all areas of the site. You will be working in a friendly team, with colleagues and managers who will treat you with respect. We provide accommodation to 24 vulnerable adults and we need your help cleaning the communal areas and void properties. We would like you to bring excellent knowledge of cleaning materials, a willingness to interact with people around you, and a thorough understanding of health & safety and COSHH.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning of all hostel and other allocated office and public areas, including all allocated rooms, corridors, bathrooms, showers, toilets, vacuuming, wiping ledges and skirting, sweeping stairs, cleaning glass, dusting, washing floors; emptying bins and removing rubbish from designated areas.
- Maintain adequate supplies of toilet requisites in bathrooms and toilets.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the site is maintained to a high standard.
- Follow the work schedule and complete tasks within the time allocated.
- Provide a high level of customer service to staff, residents and visitors within the service.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Knowledge of cleaning materials and a thorough understanding of health & safety and COSHH.
- Willingness to interact with people and work as part of a team.
- Eligibility to work in the UK. You must reside in the UK for the duration of the employment and provide Right to Work evidence.
- Role may require Enhanced or Basic Disclosure; a conditional offer will be followed by the appropriate check.
Location: Borehamwood Hostel. This is a part-time role (20 hours per week).
