We’re looking for caring and reliable people to join our team as Passenger Assistants. You will help children and young people—many with additional needs—travel safely to and from school or college. Our Home-to-School transport service supports around 1,000 students aged 4–25 using minibuses and taxis.

What You’ll Do

  • Support students during their journey, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Step in to cover for Passenger Assistants who are unavailable.
  • Work closely with drivers and schools to make each journey smooth and stress-free.

When You’ll Work

  • Cover is needed Monday to Friday, usually between 07:00–10:00 and 14:00–17:00.
  • This role is term time only.
  • Hours can vary depending on routes and student schedules. Pay is based on actual hours worked.
  • While the role is advertised as 10 hours per week, this may increase or decrease depending on the length of the route or the cover required.

How It Works

  • We’ll pick you up from home and drop you back after the route.
  • You must live within the Plymouth City boundaries or be able to get to a pick-up point within those boundaries under your own steam.
  • Cover can range from half a day to longer periods—flexibility is key!
