Candidates should read the job description carefully and be prepared to discuss duties such as:
- Grass cutting and strimming
- Hedge and shrub maintenance
- Weeding, planting and general horticultural work
- Leaf clearance and litter picking
- Use and basic maintenance of grounds-maintenance machinery
- Keeping outdoor areas clean, safe and presentable
- Working as part of a team and sometimes independently
- Previous gardening, landscaping, grounds maintenance or outdoor work
- Using tools and machinery safely
- Working to deadlines or schedules
- Working in a team
- Working independently and using initiative
- Dealing with difficult weather or physically demanding work
