We are currently recruiting for an experienced HDD Operator to join an established specialist contractor on a permanent basis.
The role will involve long-term work across the UK, with a particular focus on the South of England, including Thames Water and Southern Water areas.
About our Client
Our client is an established specialist contractor operating within the Horizontal Directional Drilling and trenchless construction sector. With decades of industry experience, they deliver specialist no-dig solutions across the water, utilities, civil engineering and infrastructure sectors.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to add experienced HDD Operators to their team.
HDD Operator Job Description
As an HDD Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating directional drilling equipment across a variety of utility, water and infrastructure projects.
The role will include:
- Operating HDD rigs safely and efficiently
- Experience operating 14t50t HDD rigs
- Carrying out Horizontal Directional Drilling works across different ground conditions
- Working closely with the wider drilling and site team
- Following project specifications, RAMS and site procedures
- Ensuring drilling operations are completed safely and efficiently
- Supporting the successful delivery of utility, water and infrastructure projects
HDD Operator Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as an HDD Operator
- Experience operating 14t50t HDD rigs
- Strong understanding of Horizontal Directional Drilling processes
- Previous experience within utilities, civils, water or infrastructure
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
- A reliable and professional approach to work
- Flexibility to travel and work away from home when required
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- UK Driving License
- Right to work UK
