An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join a well-established regional contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of new build and refurbishment projects across the residential, healthcare, commercial and education sectors throughout Oxfordshire. Projects typically range in value from £300k to £5m and often include complex, high-quality and occasionally listed buildings, requiring strong leadership, attention to detail and excellent stakeholder management.
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of live sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards. You will be a visible leader on site, coordinating subcontractors, managing logistics and working closely with the wider project team to ensure smooth and efficient delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Full day-to-day management of site operations from start to completion
- Managing subcontractors, site staff and suppliers to meet programme and quality targets
- Ensuring all works are carried out in line with health and safety regulations and company procedures
- Coordinating site logistics, sequencing works and resolving technical or programme issues
- Working closely with clients, consultants and internal teams to maintain clear communication
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and presentation on site
- Monitoring progress against programme and reporting on site performance
- Ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and building regulations
- Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering new build and refurbishment projects
- Experience working on complex or listed buildings is highly desirable
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple trades
- Well-organised, proactive and able to work under pressure
- Construction-related qualification or strong trade background
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (preferred)
- Full UK Driving Licence
