We are currently looking for experienced Shuttering Carpenters for a long-term project in Newtons Cove, by the seaProject consists of 2 x 5-storey reinforced concrete (RC) frame buildings.
The successful candidates will be experienced in formwork and reinforced concrete frame construction and be able to work safely and efficiently as part of a site team.
General DutiesErecting, assembling and dismantling shuttering/formwork for reinforced concrete structures.
Setting out and constructing formwork to required dimensions and specifications.
Working with traditional timber formwork and proprietary formwork systems. Forming columns, walls, beams, slabs, cores and other RC structural elements.
Reading and working from drawings and specifications.
Measuring, cutting and fixing timber and other formwork materials.
Installing shutters, supports, walers, braces and associated temporary works.
Checking levels, dimensions, alignment and plumb before concrete pours.
Stripping and cleaning formwork following concrete pours.
Working alongside steel fixers, concrete gangs and other trades.
Maintaining a clean and safe working area.
Following site RAMS, health & safety requirements and supervisor instructions. xgikmsk Carrying out other reasonable duties associated with shuttering/formwork and RC frame construction.
