Assistant Buyer The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Buyer to join an established and highly regarded family-owned construction and development business based in Ringwood, Hampshire.
Working as part of a small, hands-on commercial team, you will support the procurement and commercial delivery of a varied portfolio of residential developments, care homes and refurbishment projects across Hampshire, Dorset and the surrounding areas.
This would suit someone who already has some experience within construction buying, procurement or a commercial environment, and is looking for the opportunity to take on more responsibility and develop their career within an established developer.

Assistant Buyer The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will play an important role in supporting the procurement and commercial management of projects from initial procurement through to final account.
You'll work closely with the wider commercial, construction and project teams, as well as suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring materials and services are procured competitively and delivered in line with programme requirements.
Assistant Buyer Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the procurement of construction materials, subcontract packages and services.
- Preparing and issuing tender and contract documentation.
- Obtaining and negotiating competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Supporting the Commercial Manager with project procurement and commercial activities.
- Processing purchase orders, valuations, payments and variations.
- Maintaining procurement schedules, trackers and commercial records.
