A well-established and growing regional housebuilder is looking for a Planner to join their planning department. The role will support the delivery of regional planning and profit targets, while helping to identify cost-effective solutions for the discharge of planning conditions and reserved matters.

Planner Duties:

  • Supporting the Design and Technical teams in delivering regional planning and profit targets
  • Monitoring individual site programmes and coordinating necessary actions alongside internal teams and, where required, external town planning consultants
  • Liaising with local authorities to agree mechanisms and action plans to discharge planning conditions and consents required to implement site approvals
  • Assisting with the discharge of pre-start Section 106 obligations and planning requirements
  • Chasing progress and coordinating activity across internal departments to ensure programmes are maintained
  • Monitoring progress with local authorities and external agencies to avoid delays and support programme delivery
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly progress reports, highlighting progress and any risks to programme

Planner Specification:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Post-qualification experience in a planning role (developer, consultancy, or local authority)
