We are working with a well-established, technically strong contractor delivering complex fit out and laboratory environments, and they are now looking to appoint a Preconstruction Manager to play a key role in shaping projects from the earliest stages. This is a genuinely influential position, suited to someone who enjoys being involved before spades hit the ground, contributing to design development, buildability, sequencing and technical solutions, particularly where mechanical systems are critical to success.
As Preconstruction Manager, you will sit at the heart of the bid and early design process, working closely with directors, designers, estimators and supply chain partners to turn concepts into deliverable, well-planned projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Leading the preconstruction and bid phase on fit out and laboratory projects
- Active involvement in design development, design coordination and technical reviews
- Providing early-stage buildability advice, programme input and risk mitigation
- Working closely with M&E consultants and subcontractors, with a particular focus on mechanical systems
- Supporting tender strategy, value engineering and contractor proposals
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients
