We are currently looking for experienced Shuttering Carpenters to join a long-term project working across three high-rise buildings along the South Coast .
This is an excellent opportunity for skilled tradespeople looking for long-term, consistent work on a major construction project.
The Role: As a Shuttering Carpenter, you will be responsible for carrying out formwork and shuttering activities on a large-scale high-rise construction project.
Typical duties will include:
- Setting out and constructing timber and proprietary formwork/shuttering systems.
- Installing and striking formwork for reinforced concrete structures.
- Reading and working from construction drawings and specifications.
- Measuring, cutting and assembling timber/formwork materials.
- Constructing columns, beams, walls, slabs and other concrete structures.
- Installing shutters and ensuring they are correctly aligned, level and securely fixed.
- Stripping and dismantling formwork safely once concrete has cured.
- Working closely with steel fixers, concrete gangs and other site trades.
- Carrying out general carpentry and formwork duties as required.
