An established construction and development contractor is looking to appoint an Assistant Buyer / Surveyor to join its commercial team based in Ringwood.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with buying or procurement experience within construction who is keen to broaden their commercial knowledge and develop into quantity surveying.
You'll work closely with an experienced Commercial Manager, gaining exposure to both procurement and commercial management across a varied portfolio of residential developments and refurbishment projects.
Assistant Buyer / Surveyor - The Role As an Assistant Buyer / Surveyor, your primary responsibility will be supporting the procurement of subcontractors and construction materials while gradually taking on additional quantity surveying duties as your experience develops.
Working within a close-knit commercial team, you'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, helping to ensure projects are procured efficiently, remain commercially successful and are delivered on programme.
The role is predominantly office-based with regular visits to live construction sites.
