Our client is a specialist renewable energy company delivering heating, solar PV, battery storage and low carbon energy systems across the South of England, working across both domestic and commercial sectors. As an MCS certified installer they work with air source heat pumps, solar PV systems, battery storage, EV charging and smart energy controls. They are looking for an Approved Electrician to cover a temporary assignment based in Romsey, carrying out high quality electrical installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and fault finding across their domestic and commercial projects.
What you will be doing:
- Carrying out electrical installation works across domestic and commercial properties
- Installing, testing, inspecting and commissioning electrical systems to BS 7671
- Carrying out electrical fault finding, diagnosis, repairs and remedial works
- Completing electrical testing and certification accurately and within timescale
- Installing consumer units, distribution boards, protective devices, cabling and isolators
- Carrying out electrical works associated with heating and renewable energy installations
- Working closely with heating engineers, solar PV installers, roofers and surveyors
What you will need:
- A recognised Level 3 electrical qualification or equivalent
- Current BS 7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
- Inspection and Testing qualification, City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience of electrical installation work
- Strong understanding of electrical testing, inspection and fault finding
- Full UK driving licence
- CIS registered
- Experience of solar PV, battery storage, air source heat pumps or EV charging would be an advantage but is not essential.
