An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join a well-established regional contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of new build and refurbishment projects across the residential, healthcare, commercial and education sectors throughout Oxfordshire.

Projects typically range in value from £300k to £5m and often include complex, high-quality and occasionally listed buildings, requiring strong leadership, attention to detail and excellent stakeholder management.

Site Manager Role Description:

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of live sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

You will be a visible leader on site, coordinating subcontractors, managing logistics and working closely with the wider project team to ensure smooth and efficient delivery.

Site Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Full day-to-day management of site operations from start to completion

  • Managing subcontractors, site staff and suppliers to meet programme and quality targets

  • Ensuring all works are carried out in line with health and safety regulations and company procedures

  • Coordinating site logistics, sequencing works and resolving technical or programme issues

  • Working closely with clients, consultants and internal teams to maintain clear communication

  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and presentation on site

  • Monitoring progress against programme and reporting on site performance

  • Ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and building regulations

Site Manager Criteria:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering new build and refurbishment projects

  • Experience working on complex or listed buildings is highly desirable

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple trades

  • Well-organised, proactive and able to work under pressure

  • Construction-related qualification or strong trade background

  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (preferred)

  • Full UK Driving Licence
