An extremely exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Estimator to join a leading main contractor based in Berkshire to work on a full time, permanent basis. In this role as a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for tendering on projects in the commercial education and social housing sectors, working on tenders ranging from £500K-£20M.

Senior Estimator Duties:

  • Check and confirm receipt of tender documentation.
  • Create import / information onto Causeway and/or Bluebeam.
  • Produce and coordinate information for tender settlement.
  • Tender analysis adjudication sheet.
  • Preliminary breakdown.
  • Sub-contractors comparison.
  • Identify risks and opportunities.
  • Consider alternative methods of carrying out works and how our client may develop a competitive edge.
  • Draw together tender information, handing it over in a coherent fashion and ensure buy in from project team.

The ideal Senior Estimator:

  • Detailed knowledge of traditional and various other methods of construction.
  • Full understanding of analytical estimating and two stage tenders.
  • The ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Able to work effectively in a team situation.
  • Ready to hit the ground running.

In return, the client offers good working stability, ongoing training and progression, with a good work/life balance, hybrid working and a salary circa £70,000 - £80,000 + package.
